Bob’s Custom Gun Shop established in January 1993, is located on the South Shore of beautiful Flathead Lake, in Lake County, Polson, Montana. Robert James, has been handcrafting custom rifles and shot guns for over 61 years. He and the talented staff continue to produce fine custom gun stocks, and perform restoration of all types of firearms. We do production turning for Browning Arms Company, as well as individual work for other companies.

Bob James through 14 years plus of study of shooters and their shooting techniques has developed a Point of Impact Stock Fitting procedure to establish perfect dimensions for the shooter. Utilizing our display trailer, pattern board, and a selection of stock blank inventory, we attend sporting clay tournaments, as a vender and assisting shooters in Point of Impact Stock Fitting at the finest shooting ranges across the United States.
